Talking and discussing mental health can be intimidating. We understand because we were there too. It is not as simple as drinking a cup of water or taking a nap. It is more than that. The thoughts in your head and the burden you feel, we are here to help you out in order for you to open up and make it better for yourself.

How it Works
Talking to your parents about your mental health can seem intimidating. This is a script to help make it easier. Obviously, not everyone's situation is the same, but this is a good place to start. Specifically, this script will help you to ask your parents to see a licensed therapist. This script might not go word for word when you actually talk to them. So be prepared to adapt. This is a deeply personal and important conversation to have. Don’t give up! You are important.
It’s important to remember that your parents are probably just as nervous as you are. They should want what’s best for you and if talking to someone else about your problems could help you, they should understand that. Know that these problems feel like an attack on their child (you) and they don’t like when people or things hurt their kid. They might feel angry or upset but know that that is coming from a place of not knowing how to cope with their own emotions.
